Actually, what would *really* be a killer feature is the ability for Virtual PC to run Amazon Machine images (AMI) that you could copy direct into their hosting ...

Apart from that, thanks for the follow up - it&#039;s quite possible that this is down my error; I did manage to get previous versions working in  VMWare on 2000 and XP. Due to a bug in VMware and Vista, thought I&#039;d look again at  alternatives.

Happy to go into details, but really I haven&#039;t taken the &#039;STFW&#039; step, so unfair to waste your time (yet!)

Working assumption is that the problem  is something that Red Hat doesn&#039;t provide in Fedora (open version of RHEL) but as the older versions work in VMWare is unlikely that a graphics Driver or something similar is missing.
