Are you sure you've got rid of sxore ;-) Worst blog decision I ever made relying on a third party to hold my comments in a proprietary DB. I was also promised a DB dump of my comments out of sxore so I could try importing them into WP but it never appeared. I was working on my own import tool which was able to get the data out of sxore (but not able to do anything with it yet) but haven't had the time to finish it. I'll let you know if I do. I think the word "Open" should now be officially banned in any product name or description. I wonder if Valleywag's recent gossip mongering has some basis in fact?
